Week 7 – Podcasts and multimedia

There were several activities to try out for this week.  The first activity was to subscribe to podcasts.  I already do this via iTunes so I had a look at the other podcatchers available.  I then did a search on Google for Japan podcasts to see what came up and had a listen to a tour guide giving podcasts of some places I will be visiting on my holiday.

The second activity involved creating an account with YouTube or Google Video.  I already had an account with YouTube.  I subscribe to a few videos there already including a Japanese language one (I had previously subscribed to a Japanese language podcast via iTunes but cancelled it as it was very boring).  With the YouTube lessons, the language lessons are intermixed with seeing the life of an American English teacher in Japan.  I had a look at Google Video and did a search there.  As I’ve set up an account with Google already, registering was automatic.

I didn’t get round to the rest of the week 7 activities as I went on holiday.  Now that I’m back, I’ll catch up with the rest of the activities and the weeks that I have missed…eventually.
